JULY 2004:

Matt Riser of Fear Cult is featured in Zillo Magazine's "Star Files".  Giving readers a chance to better know the artist through a profile type of interview... where some of the less serious and less pressing questions get asked.

 

NOVEMBER 2003:

Fear Cult appeared in the November issue of the ALTERNATIVE PRESS. AP is the largest US magazine of alternative music. Alongside the Fear Cult interview, the article featured interviews with many other notable "dark alternative" artists such as; Interpol, BRMC, Ogre, Scarling, Evanescence, and Raized In Black.

 

AUGUST 2003:

Fear Cult appeared in the August issue of the Italian alternative music magazine RITUAL. Included with the magazine is a free sample CD that features the Fear Cult song, "If You're Watching".

 

JULY 2003:

Fear Cult is featured as the "newcomer of the month" in the July issue of the German alternative music magazine ZILLO.  Included with the magazine is a free sample CD that features the Fear Cult song, "People Like Me Die Young".

 

JUNE 2003:

Fear Cult appeared as the "newcomer of the month" in the June issue of the German alternative music magazine ORKUS.

 

APRIL / MAY 2003:

Fear Cult's debut album, "Visionary Complex" is released by Cleopatra Records.  Production credits on the album include; Julian Beston (Ex-Nizer Ebb), and Keith Leblanc (one of the producers behind the Nine Inch Nails album "Pretty Hate Machine").  Julian has recently worked with Martin Atkins (PIGFACE, PIL, etc.) as part of the team behind the new Gravity Kills album, 'Superstarved'. He contributed extensively as a guest musician on the SCHWEIN (project by members of KMFDM, PIG, and BUCK-TICK) album 'Schweinstein'. And has worked and remixed for countless others ... even Billy Idol

"Visionary Complex" is released throughout Europe on Trisol / Sad Eyes.   Trisol is the same record label group that hosts; London After Midnight, Cinema Strange, Sanguis et cinis, and many other major dark alternitive and gothic acts..   Release date May, 30 2003.

 

MARCH 2003:

Fear Cult performs live at the Key Club for the SWAG magazine launch party.

Miss Kastle reviewed the event on CoolGrrls.com saying:
"The Key Club was in full force last week with two big events. First, new alternative culture magazine SWAG kicked off with a party featuring live performances by spooky kids Fear Cult and My Ruin and a body contortion performance spectacle by Jade-blue Eclipse. Down in the VIP lounge, photos by magazine founders Amelia G and Forrest Black (who also produce Blue Blood magazine) were on display and name droppable guests included Glenn Danzig and members of Marilyn Manson, Social Distortion and the Murderdolls."
